Best Overall Film at the fifth annual DARE2BDRINKAWARE.ie awards
The House Party", a film made by a group of students from Audio & Video Production Year 4 picked up the award for Best Overall Film at the fifth annual DARE2BDRINKAWARE.ie awards in Dublin last night. Judged by an independent panel of professionals this was the top award of the evening and the successful group of Peter Moloney, James Skerritt, Louise McCormack and Senan Dolan (Streal Productions) share a prize of €1000.

The event was attended by award-winning Channel 4 director David Kerr, RTÉ presenter John Kelly and Dublin Web Summit founder Paddy Cosgrave among others and the prize was presented by David Graham from YouTube Ireland.
Speaking in the wake of the awards ceremony, Fionnuala Sheehan, Chief Executive of drinkaware.ie explained that, "We don’t just view this as a competition; we also see it as an opportunity for students to network; to develop links with key industry insiders; and to gain experience that will help them to forge successful careers".
The award adds to the growing recognition of our Audio & Video Production course on a national level and comes as a welcome boost ahead of the LIT Film Festival.
