LIT hosts workshops for students and graduates
of the Leadership and Advocacy programme

On Friday 11th May 2012, LIT hosted a series of workshops for students and graduates of the Leadership and Advocacy programme. These were organised by the course leader, Martina Neylon in conjunction with the Lifelong Learning Office and the Department of Humanities at LIT. The aim of this programme is to develop leadership and advocacy skills in people who have an intellectual disability.

The programme has been running in LIT since 2009 and has been hugely successful, due to the on-going commitment of Martina Neylon and the staff and students of the B.A. in Social Studies in Social Care. The Workshops brought past and current graduates together, and was a fantastic opportunity for everyone to share their experiences of being a student at LIT.
