Business Management Dept Students visit Google and The Shelbourne Hotel.

Year 4 Marketing and Management students and Higher Diploma in Business Management students went on two site visits recently Dublin. First up what Google Office on Barrow Street where Michael O’Shea, Director SBS Advertiser Acquisitions, welcomed the class to the Google building before taking the students on a tour of the facilities explaining how Google operates and what is it like to be a “Googler”. The students received a talk from the Sales and Marketing team on Google’s current marketing strategy. Following the presentation Michael O’Shea held a questions and answers session for the students on Google’s plans going forward.

Next morning bright and early the students went to pay a visit to the Sales and Marketing team of the luxurious Shelbourne Hotel on Stephen’s Green. Greeted by General Manager Stephen Hanley the group had an hour long presentation with the marketing team on how their strategy is evolving particularly with their use of digital media.
