The Department offers the following programmes that require learners to undertake placement and volunteers posts:
BA (Hons) in Applied Social Studies in Social Care
BA (Hons) in Business Studies with Tourism Management
BA (Hons) in Business Studies with Event Management
BA (Hons) in Business Studies with Sports Management
To ensure the protection of the public and justify public trust and confidence, LIT uses the Garda Central Vetting Unit (GCVU) service to assess the suitability of such applicants.
Depending upon the outcome of the vetting process, the Institute reserves the following rights:
1. To not register a learner;
2. To remove an existing registered learner;
3. To delay the learner’s practice placement modules on courses.
In all circumstances it is your responsibility to pro actively disclose any convictions or pending cases. The Institute reserves the right to inform any placement agency of any convictions or pending cases.
