Springboard Fund Courses @ LIT
Limerick Institute of Technology has secured funding as part of the Springboard Fund announced by the Minister for Education & Skills, Ruairí Quinn TD. This significant award will assist LIT deliver programmes that designed to facilitate those who are long-term unemployed to up-skill and to support them in their re-entry to the labour force.
The Programmes will provide 107 places for job seekers throughout the region and beyond. They will be delivered in a flexible manner so as to facilitate maximum engagement with our key target cohorts. All of the programmes offered are coherent with the skills identified by the Expert Group of Future Skills Needs and the Smart Economy Report; and/or they are closely aligned to the specific needs of the Shannon Region.
To be eligible to take up a Springboard course, the learner must meet one of the following criteria, for a minimum period of six months prior to the date of course commencement.
- Be on the Live Register and claiming Jobseekers Allowance or Jobseekers Benefit
- Be on the Live Register and signing for credits
- Be claiming One Parent Family Payment.
