Student Grants

SUSI (Student Universal Support Ireland) is the single national Awarding Authority for all new student grant applications. Applications for Student Grants are assessed under the criteria set out in the Student Support Act 2011, Student Support Regulations and the Student Grant Scheme. Students can apply for the grant on-line at www.grantsonline.ie or www.susi.ie
Students on part-time courses, access or foundation courses (in higher education institutions) and short courses are not eligible to apply for a student grant.

Renewal Applications

If you received a student grant from SUSI in 2014/15, and are continuing your studies on the same course in 2015/16, you must contact SUSi every year to renew your grant.

If you previously received a student grant from another awarding authority, i.e. Local Authority or ETB (VEC) for any year of your current course and are continuing your studies on the same course in 2015/16 you should contact that awarding authority regarding the renewal of your grant.

Where can I contact SUSI?

SUSI Support Desk at support@susi.cdvec.ie  or telephone us at 0761 08 7874
From the launch date, the SUSI Support Desk will be available from 9.00am-10.00pm (Monday-Friday) and 9.00am-6.00pm (Saturdays)
