Course Description:
LSAD has just launched a new MA in Interdisciplinary Design Practice, an exciting and dynamic programme that aims to develop interdisciplinary design practitioners - design professionals who understand how design interacts with the wider world, who can comfortably fit into a number of design roles, and who can work confidently and competently with other design, marketing and business practitioners. This is a one-year 90-credit MA developed in conjunction with stakeholders in the design profession including professional bodies and employers. The MA in Interdisciplinary Design Practice reflects the value of a collaborative interdisciplinary approach to design as problem-solving, the importance of awareness of global issues in design, and is designed to fill industry-identified gaps in the skill-sets of designers graduating from degree programmes, in terms of business, enterprise and marketing.
Open to all graduates of design or cognate disciplines, this new MA is unique in Ireland in terms of its focus on interdisciplinary practice and will feature a broad range of visiting experts.
