ChemEd-Ireland 2013

New Perspectives for Chemistry Teaching

This year ChemEd-Ireland returns to Limerick on October 19th 2013 at Limerick Institute of Technology Moylish Campus and features a number of talks and workshops to give new ideas for chemistry teachers. These include new Chemistry, new methods of utilising ICT in Chemistry and new perspectives for Junior Certificate and for exams.

Speakers include:

  • Dr Fiona Desmond, the new Chief Examiner for Leaving Certificate Chemistry
  • Professor Mike Lyons, Trinity College, who recently reported a new method of electrolysing water
  • Dr Maria Sheehan, Science Trainer for PDST
