Irish Survey of Student Engagement 2016 – LIT Students’ Opportunity to Give Feedback

LIT students have been asked to give feedback to the institute through LIT The Irish Survey of Student Engagement 2016, taking place until March 11th. Students can complete the survey at http://studentsurvey.ie, and through LIT’s researchers on The Street.

Terry Twomey, Vice President and Registrar of LIT said,

“ISSE is the student’s opportunity to give feedback to LIT. It is the same survey used in America, Canada and Australia to gather student Feedback.

“LIT listens to the student feedback from ISSE. It is a really important way of hearing from students about your experience in LIT. In last year’s ISSE the students told us that they wanted more Work Placement opportunities in their courses, and so we are currently rewriting all out degree programmes to include a work placement.

“Last year 30% of our students completed the ISSE survey. This year we are hoping to increase that response to get more student feedback and input to our courses.

“We are encouraging all students to have your say by completing the survey before it closes on March 11th. So for every survey completed by a student we will donate €2 to the LIT Student Emergency Fund.

“LIT is listening, so please tell us what you think by completing the ISSE survey. ISSE helps us to continuously improve the quality of the courses on offer in the institute.”
