​LIT Student Counselling Service ‘Pay’s It Forward’ with a ‘Kindness Kampaign’ for World Mental Health Week 2016



The LIT Kindness Kampaign will be launched on Monday 10th October 2016 with a Pledging Kindness Event on The Street, Moylish Campus, hosted by LIT Student Counselling Service and LIT Student’s Union in support of Pay It Forward Limerick, www.pifl.ie, World Mental Health Day, World Mental Health Week & Student Engagement LIT.

Terry Twomey, VP Academic Affairs and Registrar, LIT, will launch the Kindness Kampaign making his Kindness Pledge to a conscious act of kindness. We invite Students and Staff of LIT in each campus to make their Kindness Pledge and Pay It Forward showing their willingness to pledge an act of kindness, the recipient of which carrying out another act of kindness.

The Kindness Kampaign will run for the academic year with many kindness inspired events planned. The intention is that this year LIT will receive the Kindness Flag Award from Pay It Forward Limerick (PIFL) becoming the first Third Level Institution to be acknowledged as a college promoting Kindness Culture, wellbeing, positive mental health and the Pay It Forward ethos of Be Kind, Live Kindly and Share Kindness. ​​
