LIT Library Hosts the Visit of Academic Staff from Ukraine in Major €1 Million EU Funded Project

From the 12th-16th of June 2017, LIT Library Service is hosting the visit of representatives from universities in the Ukraine as part of a major EU funded project in which LIT Library participate. http://www.lit.ie/News/NewsImages/LIT_Logo.jpg

This €1 million EU funded project entitled “Structuring Cooperation in Doctoral Research, Transferable Skills Training, and Academic Writing Instruction in Ukraine's regions” (“DocHub”) is funded under the EU ERASMUS + Capacity Building in the Field of Higher Education (CBHE) funding programme.

The project is aimed at fostering better transferrable skills such as Library and Information Literacy skills in Doctoral students in the Ukraine. This 3 year project commenced in 2016 and involves 15 partners from the Ukraine, Lithuania, Finland and France and with LIT as one of the EU partners in the project. Ukrainian partner universities partaking in the project include major universities from cities across various Regions of the Ukraine from cities such as Kiev, Lviv, Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk. ​
