LIT Lecturers in European Project to Enhance Teaching and Learning in Maths

A team of maths lecturers from different departments in LIT are working with partners from four other EU countries on the Erasmus+ funded project MathE.MathE Project Logo.jpg

The MathE project is funded by the European Commission through the Portuguese National Agency for the Erasmus+ Programme and aims to enhance the quality of teaching and improve pedagogies and assessment methods for Maths in Higher Education.

The project has three main objectives: Facilitating the identification of students’ gaps in Math through on-line assessment tools; Providing Math teachers with appropriate digital sources; Enhancing transnational sharing of innovative teaching sources.

The current phase has assembled a bank of questions, across a range of mathematical topics, that can be used for students’ self-assessment as well as for teachers’ testing of students’ math knowledge. Other lecturers or students can now register on the project platform to access the assessment tools.

Further information about registration and the project in general can be found at this link: https://mathe.pixel-online.org/index.php
