NFC - Stress Test the Business Idea

The National Franchise Centre (NFC), a partnership with Limerick Institute of Technology and Limerick Chamber- is pleased to announce that it will be hosting its Stress Test the Business Idea programme, over five nights this November 2016. The programme looks at a variety of methodologies to assist business owners and start-ups, in understanding the key concepts required to test their business idea (albeit new or an add-on to existing services).

The programme will be run over 5 consecutive evenings (6.00pm to 9.00pm) in the NFC, located on the 4th floor over the AIB bank on O’Connell Street, Limerick. It will be delivered by consultants from Bridgewater, who specialise in enterprise development, innovation, finance, strategy, production innovation and business plan development as well as other areas of expertise.

The areas covered will include:
Lean Business Model – a tool to help entrepreneurs see the bigger picture of what they are trying to achieve;
Design Thinking – a means to test the-idea and develop it, based on user/customer/stakeholder feedback;
Market Research – a tool to assist the Design Thinking process and how to use data and information to develop an understanding of the market and industry sector, to give insights that will feed product/service innovation;
Financial Viability – testing the-idea to evaluate the associated financial costs of startup, production/service development costs and the implications on the feasibility of the-idea;
Business Planning – testing the-idea promoters as entrepreneurs and business managers;

If you have a business idea that needs to be stress-tested and are interested in participating in the programme, please contact Derek Blackweir: Email: Derek.blackweir@lit.ie or Tel: (086) 0468946
