Creativity Celebrated at the Smarter Travel Student Multimedia Awards 2018

LIT Music Technology and Production Students received awards recently for their audio entries to the National Smarter Travel Student Multimedia Awards. The entries, by students from universities, Institutes of Technology and other 3rd level institutions country-wide, promote ‘smarter’ modes of transport; particularly walking, cycling, public transport and car sharing.

The competition was judged by an expert panel of judges including Deborah Doherty, Studio Director of Windmill Lane, Dylan Cotter, Executive Creative Director from Irish International, Matt McGrath, BBC Environment Correspondent, and Pat Kinsley, Managing Director at Neworld Associates.

In the audio category, joint 2nd Place went to two group entries: Dylan O'Mahony, Clodagh Lawlor, Dan O'Riordon, Adam Dwyer & Laya Kenny  and another group of Music Technology and Production students comprised of Kevin Garland, Aine Flaherty, Lauren Hanley, Patrick Mark Duffy & Patricia Aillons Martin.

3rd place was awarded to the group entry from Kamil Kiersztan, Jamie Dumas, Jacob Woulfe, Anthony White & Sean Coffey also from Music Technology and Production. The category featured entries from third level institutions across Ireland.

In the Video & Animation Category 2nd Place was Sean Parnell from Limerick Institute of Technology and 3rd place went to Keith Walsh, Rob Daly, Daniel O' Keeffe & Brewster Carr from Limerick Institute of Technology.
