Success for LIT at National Student Ideas Awards

LIT Road Transport & Technology student John Paschal Keane won 1st prize at the recent final of the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport National Student Ideas Awards 2016.

CILT’s Student Idea of The Year Awards is a competition designed to give recognition to college students with innovative ideas and concepts that may go towards making a contribution to the Logistics, Transport and Supply Chain industry and attracts a high number of entries from third level institutes across the country. Held in DIT, this is the second year in a row that a student of Road Transport Technology & Management at LIT has won the top award in the prestigious, national competition.

The CILT Ireland Student Idea of The Year Awards also gives successful participants a valuable opportunity to showcase themselves to leading industry professionals and to network in a commercial setting. John Paschal is pictured receiving his award from entrepreneur Peter Casey, Founder and Executive Chairman of Claddagh Resources. Well done to John Paschal.
