LIT to welcome Dr Larry Brendtro Master Class to Limerick

Tusla will be welcoming Dr Larry Brendtro to LIT in Limerick on Thursday 18th August from 10.30-3.30pm to provide a master class in supporting young people and promoting positive mental health. This promises to be a very engaging and worthwhile training for anyone who has an interest in or engages with young people within their work.

Dr Brendtro, is the well known, co-developer of Response Ability Pathways (RAP) and ‘Circle of Courage’, he is an esteemed psychologist and special educator and he has been central in the development of positive youth development and the worldwide reclaiming youth movement. We are very fortunate to have him visit Limerick and Dublin this summer to provide his master class titled 'Adverse Childhood Events and the Resilient Brain: An Understanding of and Response to Youth Mental Health Difficulties'

Along with Albert Trieschman and James Whittaker, back in 1969, Larry co-authored, ‘The Other 23 Hours’. Larry has since co-authored numerous volumes including: Positive Peer Culture, Re-educating Troubled Youth, Reclaiming Youth at Risk: Reclaiming Our Prodigal Sons and Daughters, Troubled Children and Youth, The Resilience Revolution, and many others.
