               LIT to Host Careers Information Day

Limerick Institute of Technology (LIT) will host a Careers Information Day on Tuesday 28th February in the Millennium Theatre at LIT. This event is open to students, graduates and anyone considering their career or education prospects. Employers in the region including Dell, Modular Automation, Sepam, Grant Thornton, Northern Trust, Info Labs and Sourcedogg.com will give presentations on careers in their relevant sectors and be on hand to offer one on one advice to prospective job seekers.

The information day aims to provide the “inside track” to the current employment market with speakers from industry giving their tips and recommendations on how to secure employment in their areas. They will include how to apply, what to expect in an interview and what they really want to see from the candidates.

Speaking about the upcoming event Joanne Holland, Careers Officer at LIT said “All of the employers who will be in attendance on the day are currently hiring and have hired graduates from LIT in the past so this is an opportunity to find out more. But the event is not just for LIT students and graduates, anyone who is looking for employment, considering a change in career or just wants to find out the type of jobs that are available in the region should come along.”
