LIT Hurlers in action in Croke Park this weekend

Even though Limerick, Tipperary or Clare didn’t advance to the All-Ireland final this weekend, the LIT GAA club (and the LIT and Clare hurling manager Davy Fitzgerald) will still have a significant interest in the outcome.

Current LIT Business student Joe Canning will lead the line for Galway and most likely to be marked by Kilkenny corner back, former LIT hurler and Quantity Surveying graduate Jackie Tyrell.

Canning will have former LIT hurling stars Iarla Tannian and Cyril Donnellan to assist in putting up the scores which will be necessary to bring the Liam McCarthy back across the Shannon for the first time since 1988.

Constuction Management Graduates James Skehill and Kevin Hynes will be at the other end of the park hoping to keep Kilkenny forwards as quiet as they managed in the first half of the Leinster final.
