Limerick Charity Compilation Album
In 1990 an album was put together by the Limerick label Xeric records, encompassing a selection of Limerick talent. The ‘’New Reindeer Age’’ is trying to recreate the magic of this great compilation with some of the original cohort and showcasing some new talent, with the majority of the album made up of unsigned young Limerick bands.
A Limerick compilation album has been on my agenda for quite some time. All of the tracks on this album are the original work of local Limerick bands and it just shows the amazing depth of talent the city holds. Their generous approach towards this project gives an insight into the good-natured sense of community present in the Limerick music scene.
The money raised from this album will go towards the wonderful work being carried out at the Learning Hub Limerick. The work the hub is carrying out with the young people in Limerick is invaluable and it’s a real asset to the city. Find out some of the amazing work over at their site

The production cost of the album was kindly funded by the following local businesses and organisations:

There will be a press night held in O'Connells Bar, Little Ellen Street, Limerick on the 24th of November, next Thursday night. There will be one or two acts from the album playing on the night and it’s a chance to check out the album and also have a preview before the launch date.
An album launch is set for the 3rd of December in Dolans; again we will have various artists from the album play on the night and a chance to buy the album.
The 500 limited copies will be available to buy in various places in limerick for €10 - a bargain for 22 brilliant tracks. Stockists confirmed so far include:
