Research at TUS

TUS has a vibrant, innovative and contemporary research community that engages in next generation thinking to tackle issues at a regional, national and global level.
Research takes place across 7 dedicated institutes and within research groups, centres and faculties encompassing a wide variety of disciplines from Fine Art and Design, Biotechnology, and Sustainable Development to Social Sciences, Interactive Systems, and Engineering.

About Us

TUS is an integrated organisation and embraces innovation, enterprise, and development through our dedicated hubs, industry clusters and the Enterprise Ireland Technology Gateway Programme, which has funded four leading gateways APT, COMAND, Smarter Factory, Shannon ABC. The Enterprise Ireland Technology Gateway Programme in TUS is co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Union through the ERDF Southern, Eastern & Midland Regional Programme 2021-27.

TUS is a founding member of the new European alliance (RUN – EU) which enables students to obtain a degree by combining studies in multiple EU countries. We are a leader in high-TRL (technology readiness level) research across the technology higher education landscape and have been named a U-Multirank top 25 performing university for interdisciplinary research globally.
