The
Sculpture & Combined Media Department aims to provide a challenging
environment for each student to gain a greater awareness of traditional
and contemporary sculpture practice, and to translate that awareness
in the production of significant works. In addition to providing
the individual with a broad range of skills that can be further
developed and adapted.
As well as traditional sculptural practices, potential students should also be aware of other non-sculptural artistic disciplines such as Painting, Printmaking, Film, Theatre, Literature, Dance and Music/Sound, and how they may impact upon our creative lives in a three-dimensional manner.Students should be curious about the role that the sculptural practice has in the real world and how it can creatively enhance our environment and lives.
