About LIT Tipperary

About the School Of LIT Tipperary

LIT-Tipperary (formerly Tipperary Institute) is experiencing a period of exciting change, growth and development. Student numbers are growing rapidly - full time student numbers have more than doubled since 2007 – creating a lively and rewarding campus experience. In an exciting new development, the Institute has joined forces with Limerick Institute of Technology. The new, significantly enlarged third level institution will enhance higher education opportunities throughout Tipperary and surrounding counties and benefit both current students and future graduates.

The rapid growth in student numbers in recent years reflects the Institute’s continued commitment to the development of new courses that will enhance the life and career prospects of LIT-Tipperary graduates. New programme development is on-going with the launch of new degrees in Smart Sustainable Energy (Levels 7 and 8), Digital Animation Production (Level 8) and Sports Strength and Conditioning (Level 7 & 8).

All of our programmes meet the most exacting national and international standards, and prepare you for success in life and in the workplace. Our programmes balance the development of professional and technical competencies with the life-skills you will need to reach your maximum potential, while our dynamic and highly qualified staff will make your learning experience at LIT-Tipperary both challenging and rewarding. As a graduate of LIT-Tipperary, your knowledge and skills will give you a head start.

I wish you well in your choice of programme, and in your studies, and hope to meet you soon on one of our campuses.
