| Programme Description | | The Higher Certificate in Business and Office Management is a two year programme, giving students an opportunity to gain knowledge of essential business principles and functions and to acquire relevant skills and competences in the areas of IT and multimedia. Designed around six specialisations, the key areas of study include management, marketing, finance, the soft skills of teamwork and public relations, graphic design and web development with a particular emphasis on the technologies which enhance office management.
This highly practical and innovative new programme aims to provide students with the fundamental business and IT skill sets enabling graduates to enhance the productivity and efficiency of an office and to contribute to the growth of the organisation.
In addition, the multimedia component of the programme will allow students to gain the knowledge and skills required to develop websites and build content for these websites, as well as brochures, e-magazines and a range of informational and promotional material.

| Entry Requirements: | | Leaving Certificate: A minimum of Five Passes in Leaving Certificate subjects, including Mathematics and English/Irish. FETAC: A full FETAC Level 5 award or FETAC Level 6 award. Mature: Refer to the admissions section.

| Further Studies | | The Higher Certificate in Business and Office Management aims to equip students with a qualification that has a competitive standing in the marketplace and the skills that are pivotal to the contemporary business world.
On completion of this programme, students will possess the broad range of skills and capabilities required at the administration level of the business practice. These competencies will facilitate further progression to a career within a wide range of industries which require a sound knowledge of business with practical computing and multimedia skills.
Graduates can benefit from further education by using their Higher Certificate as a pathway to further study at Degree and Honours Degree levels. Students who successfully complete this programme will be eligible to progress to the Level 7 Bachelor of Business programme at LIT –Tipperary.
