Games Fleadh 2014

Games Fleadh 2014 will be held on 12th March at the LIT Tipperary Campus. Full details of the event are available at www.gamesfleadh.ie.

The theme for the event this year is the Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy……which presents lots of potential for interesting interpretations of this iconic book and text based game. Games Fleadh presents opportunities for students at all levels to pitch themselves against their peers from other colleges in a range of competitions.

The event also is host to the now annual Games Awards where game developers get their ‘Games Oscars’ under a range of categories. Guest speakers from leading games industries will give their insights into the future direction of the industry and job opportunities.

Meet gamers, academics, students, industry experts, developers, enthusiasts. Come and play, network, learn, compete or as they say in the Hitch Hikers Guide Don’t Panic, grab yourself a trusty towel and the guide, pop a babel fish in your ear and watch out for those Vogons, Zaphod beeble box, paranoid androids and sperm whales.
