The Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering at LIT offers a diverse range of programmes; if you’re looking for a career in renewable energy, music technology, audio and video production, automation or electronic engineering, we’ve got it all for you!

With up-to-date laboratories, editing suites and recording studios, you will get to work on today’s best industry standard equipment. Our hands-on, practical approach to learning means you will have the knowledge but also the skills to tackle even the most difficult jobs.

Our staff are constantly finding new opportunities to get their students involved in real-world work. In 2008 students from the Video& Sound Technology programme were given the chance to get first-hand experience of filming and recording for the revival of Munster Rugby’s “Munster TV”. Students attended practice sessions and press conferences leading up to the Heineken Cup and edited their videos in the new LIT editing suites to provide high-quality videos for the team’s website.
