| ABOUT Dr. Tracy Fahey is Head of Department in Fine Art and Head of Centre of Postgraduate Studies in Limerick School of Art and Design, LIT. She has previously worked as Head of Department of Humanities, IT Carlow and Head of Faculty of Design, Griffith College Dublin. She currently sits on the Board of Directors of the Limerick Printmakers, and is a member of the advisory boards of the Centre for Research in Popular Culture, AUT, Auckland and the Centre for Studies in Otherness, Denmark. She is a former Past President of the Institute of Designers in Ireland and a former Board member of the Hunt Museum Limerick, Design Ireland, and the Institute of Design and Disability. In 2007-2008 she worked on the establishment of designcore, the design research centre in IT Carlow. In 2013 she established the LSAD research centre ACADEMY http://www.lit.ie/RDI/Research/ACADEmy which works on both national and European projects. Her main area of research is the Gothic, and she is currently working on a monograph on Contemporary Irish Folk Gothic for University of Wales Press. In 2010 she founded the collaborative fine art practice, Gothicise, who work on site-specific projects related to ideas of site, traces and narrative. She is also a fiction writer; her first collection, The Unheimlich Manoeuvre was nominated for a British Fantasy Award in 2017. | |

| ABOUT Mike Fitzpatrick, Head of School of Limerick School of Art and Design. Previously Director/Curator of Limerick City Gallery of Art from 2000-2009 curating over eighty exhibitions including Simon Starling, Lindsay Seers, John Shinnors, Clare Langan, Connolly Cleary, Sean Lynch, Amanda Coogan, Tom Molloy, retrospectives by Walter Verling and Jack Donovan and a survey exhibition of 21st century Irish art. Ireland's commissioner for the Venice Biennale 2007 curating the artist Gerard Byrne also for his exhibition at Lismore Castle in 2010. Curator of the Visual Art strand at the Kilkenny Arts Festival 2005 & 2006.
Personal solo Exhibitions include ‘Everything Must Go’ Art in General, New York, ‘Selling America’ Silverstein Gallery, New York and Galway Art Centre, BIAD Birmingham, Limerick City Gallery of Art, OMAC, Belfast and Project Art Centre, Dublin. Exhibited in selected shows in Ireland, UK, USA, Hungry, Australia and Italy.

| ABOUT After graduating with a first class honours B.Tech in Materials & Architectural Technology Education from the University of Limerick, James went on to teach Graphics and Computer Aided Design and Modelling in what is now the Department of Design and Manufacturing Technology in UL. He completed a Masters of Technology, in UL, focused on the use of CAD modelling as an aid to increasing attention and vigilance in engineering education.
With over twelve years experience in a Head of Department role, James has previously worked as Head of Information and Communications Technology in Tipperary Institute and as Head of Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering in Limerick Institute of Technology. In these roles, he has led the development of a wide variety of innovative design and creative media programmes including a BSc in Digital Animation Production, BSc in Games Design and Development, BSc in Creative Multimedia, BA in Animation and Motion Design, and a BA in Design in Fashion Knitwear and Textiles. | |
