Gallery Space
adaptive Identity
from singularity to pop up collectively
An exhibition exploring the notion of “What is Identity” and the notion of the self in reference to the contemporary world. Our environment dictates our identity, our gender, our belief systems etc. The very idea that each individual art student looked inward and yet outward was the backbone of our conceptual concern with this project. The work created by the group is an accumulation of over 28 pieces of work individually reflecting the human condition mediated in a number of different forms: Film, Video, Performance, Sculptural Object, Installation, Sound Art and Drawing, all of which increase the visual fluency as students and yet emphasised the relevance of these media in contemporary art.
