Originally filmed on super 8 sevaw is edited into a continuous loop depicting rolling waves. The intention of the artist is to present a familiar and enduring representation of a natural force, allowing the viewer to enjoy and associate with the imagery. Then visually question the illusion of the representation, by reveling to the viewer that the sea is running back to front and upside down. This strange motion produces an optical illusion which has an unsettling effect.
