This final year is one of increasing rigor, as students will be expected to determine their own programme of study in conjunction with tutors.

Students are encouraged to operate to a professional standard of visual awareness and competent understanding of expressive modes and interpretative factors applicable to traditional and contemporary sculptural practice. Fourth year students also participate in a series of professional practice lectures.

The culmination of the students year work is the Degree Show, which displays the student's ability and achievement .The show involves a variety of solo sculptural exhibitions that include: object making, assemblage, installations, public art projects, environmental art, performance art, drawings, video, audio and photographic works.

LIFE AFTER COLLEGE

Students need to think of life after collage - How will you make a living? We source Public Art Projects on a regular basis, which all Sculpture & Combined Media students may submit their ideas for selection. These projects provide students with experience in preparing and facilitating public art projects.
