For
many years I have been interested in human development, anthropology
and archaeology as structural supports for modern humanistic theories
and beliefs. My present work and that, which I have been engaged
in over the past few years, is an exploration of the fragmentary
evidence of humankind's passage through time.
As
human beings, supported by traditional belief systems, we are obsessed
by our own sense of self-importance. Yet when we really look at
our place in the overall scheme of existence many of the concerns,
which we consider paramount, pale into insignificance. In the future
these concerns will have been forgotten. All that will remain are
fragments to show they ever existed.
