TUS is one of the most diverse third level institutions in Ireland and has a proud record in widening participation in Higher Education. Inspired by this commitment, the TUS Foundation has adopted as a priority the provision of a sponsorship programme to students.
The Leaders@TUS scholarship programme was launched in 2014 and aims to alleviate the strain of financial difficulties experienced by students, so that they can concentrate fully on their education and finish their programme of study.
Since its inception, more than €1 million has been invested in the programme through the generosity of our donors. The scholarship programme has proved hugely successful and popular among students who may otherwise struggle to access higher education and attend college. The scholarships make a meaningful difference to the lives of students, ensuring they can focus on their studies. During the academic year 2019/2020, 21 students were awarded Leaders@TUS scholarships.
